- In 2007, when my friend & bandmate Billy Cairns passed away from cancer, I felt like an era in my life had suddenly come to an end. With that in mind, I decided to create a website which celebrated Billy's memory and the wonderful times we had making music together in the Freelance Vandals. Billy's departure has made one home truth come to light in my life...that music always maintains an intrinsic connection to our souls. Huzzah!
